Coffee Hours Procedures -- July 2006

Dear Volunteers:

We are very limited for storage space at JCOGS. When it is your turn to do Coffee Hour I suggest you bring the following:

One can of decaf coffee

Measuring cup for the coffee

Creamer

Some sugar and/or sugar free packets

Juice

Finger Food

Tablecloth – long if possible

Paper napkins

Kitchen towel for cleanup

Plastic trash bag

Paper or Styrofoam cups

We do not have our regular coffee maker but instead there is a 36-cup electric coffee urn, in addition to a sugar bowl and pitcher, stored next to the cabinet to the right as you enter the building. Please return these items to the same area and DO NOT leave any food. Take home whatever you brought with you including any trash. No meat products are permitted in the building.

For the summer, prepare 30 cups of coffee, when the weather turns cooler prepare 36 cups of coffee. The amount of coffee needed is indicated on the coffee urn. When service of coffee is ready, unplug the pot so the grounds cool.

Before leaving please check to be sure that everything is clean and that anything that was moved was returned to its original place.

We are not accustomed to having to assemble so many items for Coffee Hour, but with your help it will all work out successfully. I thank you for your help and JCOGS for granting us the use of their house of worship. Any questions: Bernice 253-4028.
